Ashwin was the ever-so-serious, alpha-male who thrived on the next deal, the next million. Surprises were not his thing, especially when they were of the bad kind. After two years of working with his efficient EA, why did he feel an uncanny attraction to her all of a sudden? Was he missing something in the whole picture?

Dia was the quintessential romantic who read, wrote, and thrived on romance. She had nothing to do with the corporate world or her sister's boss - the sinful-looking Ashwin Kumar. Only, her twin has been missing and she needed to investigate the reason behind her twin's vanishing act. She thought it would only be a matter of few days, and she could conveniently play her efficient twin. Unfortunately, she wasn't prepared for the man who could as well one of her reel heros.

When Ashwin suggests a marriage of convenience, neither of them expect to fall in love. Or, did they? What about Anita? Will she find her missing sister?

Screenplay writer Allan, who was in danger of being fired from the production house thanks to a public tiff with Ryan. Acclaimed film director Paddy, who was in love with Sheila. Confession- Not being a fan of anthologies, this was only the second one I got down to read; and I didn’t much enjoy the first. Having said that, Vengeance came as a surprise and a pleasant one at that. One of the reasons I can think of is that each story is bound around a common theme of revenge and vengeance (but then, you had already guessed that, didn’t you?) I would not be doing justice to the book, if I don’t talk about each story separately. So, here goes: 1)       ‘The beautiful ratio’, by Shweta Rao Garg : I liked her choice of words and her use of Syntax. What also stands out is her keen observation of the real life around; right from the weirdly spelled local sign boards (Manchuri rais and Oneon Garlik), to the cinematographic description of a middle class Muslim neig...
